Sometimes accidents happen that mean some help is needed to get a necklace back to working order – perhaps the cord has broken or a bead has been worn out after repeated, heavy use. The repairs service is there to save you having to buy a new necklace or throw the old one out, at a lower cost than a replacement and with the same high quality.
All repaired necklaces are treated with the same love and care as our new collections, and the necklace will be back to being fully compliant with UK, EU/EEA, Canadian and US safety standards afterwards. Of course, if we repair a necklace made by someone else (which we’re happy to do!) we’re unable to verify the compliance of any beads apart from the ones from Foss & Bjørn. All our beads are free from harmful toxins and completely safe (more about our safety credentials here). They are made from hypoallergenic materials to make them suitable for sensitive skin.
Sensory features

The hexagon bead has raised edges but they are rounded to minimise sharpness. We use exactly the same type of beads for our replacement work as we do for our other necklaces and bracelets. |

That means I believe the necklaces will be yours to enjoy for far longer than this. Given such a long expected lifespan for something that I hope will be worn often, sometimes accidents happen, or there's damage after heavy, daily use. It’s in those instances that some help might be needed to get a necklace back to working order. The repairs service is there to save you from having to buy a new necklace, or worse, throw a good one out (or leave it to wither at the back of that “everything drawer” we all have!).
I want to offer a repair service because I really believe in the benefits of our necklaces and the help we can provide through them. It’s also a great way to support the environment by reducing waste. And I hope it also tells you that we’re here for you for the long haul.
How does it work? Please add a note to your order to explain what repair work you’re looking for - is it a particular bead, or the cord? The price includes one cord replacement, two bead changes (please specify colour/style with your order), or one set of clasp replacements – so for instance if you need both the cord and clasp replaced, select “2” in the order quantity.

The length will be the same as the original necklace unless you specify otherwise.
The turnaround time for repairs is the same as for other necklaces if we have all parts in stock, otherwise we will confirm (we can also do this before you place your order if you contact us).
